The Way of Jesus : Don‘t Miss Today!

How is life going? Don''t know about you...but for some it feels like nothing is working.
Even when you do the right things, and cross all the t's and dot all the i's it seems like our live's don't change much. Want to lean into a conversation on how to find the life Jesus promised?
In this third week of looking at the Way of Jesus we will be encouraged to be present in the moment we find ourselves so we don't miss what we have now pursuing what we want later.

Missions: Go Into All The World - Botswana

The World is a pretty big place...and yet Jesus commanded us to go into all the world and preach the Gospel. There are many who have answered that call to fulfill what we call the Great Commission.
This week we were able to have a conversation with Dr. Una Mulale from Gaborone, Botswana. Dr. Una is a Pediatric Critical Care Specialist (Physician). Dr. Una is the director of Barona Children's Foundation and has a dream to build a pediatric hospital in Botswana

We've shared that we know the World is a pretty big place...and Jesus commanded us to go into all the world and preach the Gospel...sometimes our GOING is just outside the front door.
n our 4th week we're talking about Unity and it's relationship to going into all the world. 
 
Ever wonder why unity so important to the Apostle Paul?  It's because in our unity, the mission thrives.We're doing a deep dive into Romans 15:7-33 and tackles what it means to be united during both good and difficult times, and how that impacts our pursuit of the mission we are all called to.

 The Giving Environment: Understanding Pre-Pandemic Trends in Charitable Giving
The share of Americans donating to charity fell from two-thirds in 2000 to half in 2018, according to a new study released today by the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at IUPUI.
Just 49.6% of U.S. households made a charitable contribution in 2018, the latest year for which comprehensive data is available. That is a drop of almost 17 percentage points from 2000, when 66.2% of American households gave charitable donations, the study finds.  read article here
The second topic was a new book releasing 8.3.2021 by Fuller Youth Institute.
3 Big Questions That Change Every Teenager. 
The authors, Kara Powell and Brad Griffin say that...Every teenager is a walking bundle of questions. But at the core live these three:
- Who am I?- Where do I fit?- What difference can I make?
