Carols - O Holy Night - Week 1

Our CHRISTmas series begans this week. CAROLS. We celebrate that God is with us – in answered promises, realized dreams, and refreshed hope. How could we help but sing?
Each week, we're going to explore the songs born from our joy that Jesus has entered the world.  Week 1 is O, Holy Night.

Leading Generously - Wk 5 - Essence

Essence:  Generous leaders help others to be all God made them to be.
Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, by taking the form of a servant.Philippians 2:5-7
Generous leaders model and transfer a life of gracious self-giving.

The Gospel of John - Getting the Party Started - John 2:1-11

John 2:1-11 is the account of the first sign of Jesus in his eartly ministry at the wedding of Cana.  Jesus has three responses to his mother as she asks him to do something about the the wedding party having run out of wine.   We will look at how the use of wine takes place in the bible and some thoughts of its use.

The Gospel of John -The Lamb of God - John 1:29-51

In this week's message we see that Jesus is identified by many titles, but its the title of "the Lamb of God" that holds great interest and is unique to the Apostle John and his writing.  
We are encouraged to by the story of how even John the Baptist struggled with doubts about  the truth of who Jesus is.

The Gospel of John - Who I'm Not - John 1:19-28

In this second message of our series we are introduced to John the Baptist and his call to ministry.  
The Jewish leaders of the day weren't exactly sure who John was and his role.  John was clear to point out who he was not and he pointed to what God was just beginning to do through Jesus.

The Gospel of John - Prologue - John 1:1-18

Week one of our series on the Gospel of John.  
We introduce the listener to the Gospel of John and begin a discussion of the meaning behind the Logos...Jesus as the Word.
And then we look at the many titles given to Jesus, and also see how John's Gospel parallels the first book of the Bible, Genesis.
