Loving Generously - What are you going to sell? - Wk 2

Loving Generously: Giving Ourselves One to Another is our second series on leveraging our understanding of what it means to be generous.  
Over the next five weeks we will join the Donovan family and their journey as they encounter a new perspective of loving generously.
In week two we look at the story of the Rich Young Ruler and his conversation with Jesus in Matthew 19:16-22.  The reality is that as we give ourselves to God, we give our selves to one another.  
The challenge question for the week:  What do you own and what owns you?  

Loving Generously - Who Are You Inviting? - Wk 1

Loving Generously: Giving Ourselves One to Another is our second series on leveraging our understanding of what it means to be generous.  
Over the next five weeks we will join the Donovan family and their journey as they encounter a new perspective of loving generously.
In this first week, looking at the story from Luke 14:13-14 on the guests that were invited to the Banquet, we realize that Jesus tore up the barriers that kept people away.  
The challenge question for this week:  Who are your inviting into your life?  

Growing Young - Making It Warm - Week 2

No we didn't find the fountain of life.  But we do have some thoughts about how our faith community can invite others into an amazing opportunity.  Looking at results of a foundational 4 year study from Fuller Youth Institute in its recently recently book: Growing Young.
In this second week we learn that young people—and all of us—need a church that is a warm, welcoming, and authentic home. Jesus found such a community as a 12-year-old boy temporarily separated from his parents.  Looking at the story the only story in scripture about Jesus' youth in Luke 2:41-52.   

Growing Young - Keychain Leadership

No we didn't find the fountain of life.  But we do have some thoughts about how our faith community can invite others into an amazing opportunity.  Looking at results of a foundational 4 year study from Fuller Youth Institute in its recently recently book: Growing Young.
In this first week we learn that when we entrust leadership opportunities to others—in particular to young people—we are handing them a deeper sense of belonging and contribution to the Kingdom of God.
Looking at the invitation that Jesus gives to Peter in John 21:15-19 we learn that in the midst of brokenness and failure, we are given the keys of leadership to continue the work of building the Kingdom in a new generation.

Reset - Wk 4 - Hands: Soul at Peace - Hands at work

Who doesnt need some type of reset in their lives? For believers and seekers alike, it starts with a prayer for a fresh start.
The Reset; then continues as they dig into Scripture and discover a passion to share their story and Jesus with those around them.
In the 4th week we pull all the details together...Our faith informs our thoughts, and our thoughts inform our words.What we’ll add to that progression during our time together today is this piece: Our words inform our actions.
Join us as we wrap it up. 

reset - Week 3 - Good News for Bad Times

The Reset; then continues as they dig into Scripture and discover a passion to share their story and Jesus with those around them.
Week one was about resetting our hearts, week two was focused on resetting our minds and in this third week we look at our words and voice...you see nothing is riskier than letting Jesus control our words, but nothing is more satisfying than speaking up for him.

Reset - Week 2 - I Am What I Think About

Who doesnt need some type of reset in their lives? For believers and seekers alike, it starts with a prayer for a fresh start.
The Reset; then continues as they dig into Scripture and discover a passion to share their story and Jesus with those around them.
So in week two we take a look at how what we think determines much about how we live each day.  A person can only think one thought at time and that its important we think thoughts that develop in a forward and positive direction.  

Reset - Week 1 - Let's Roll

The Reset then continues as they dig into Scripture and discover a passion to share their story and Jesus with those around them. 
In this first week we look through the lens of the 15th anniversary of 9/11.  Being reminded that we need to reset our hearts through a fresh start through prayer.
