Developing HABITS - Wk 6 - God Stories

Many of us ask these quesitons every year. How can I get closer to God? How can I live more and more like Jesus? How can I grow in my faith? Where do I start?In 2016, we'll try to answer those questions as we spend some time in a new teaching series: Developing H.A.B.I.T.S.
In the 6th and final part of our conversation we unpack why its important to learn how to tell our stories.  We  all have an awesome story and those around us need to hear it!  No one’s story is boring because God does not make boring stories! We'll hear from Bobbie Ballinger and Carolyn Fowler about how they've seen God work in their lives in encouraging their walk of faith.This image will make sense after you listen to the podcast.

Where do I start?As we begin a new year, 2016, we'll try to answer those questions as wespend some time in a new teaching series: Developing H.A.B.I.T.S. In Part 4 our conversation is all about seeing how our spiritual journey needs to be centered on the idea of intentionality.  Being reminded that we all need to have a long view of our journey and that all we engage in needs to have that kind of focus.   The habits we need to develop are about pushing in the right direction with view to thinking long.

Part 3 our conversation we will cover those basic instructions before leaving earth we all need to learn and apply.  Those basic instructions are fairly simply to find because its all about studying the Bible - God's love letter to the human race.

Voices - Our Stories Matter

Everyone...young and old has a story that needs to be told.  Many times those stories can get lost in the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives.  Many times we underestimate how God is working to write His story through our everyday lives.  This week, we've invited two amazing and impressive young women to share about the journey they are on. The first is Libby English, a high school senior at Mansfield High School.  Libby had the opportunity to attend the Voices Conference '14.  She has been on an incredible journey since helping to awaken other students to their worth and giving vision to the passions and futures that already lie within them. You'll also hear from Amanda Hall.(begins at 10:00)  A graduate of Miami University- Ohio who is currently the Development Coordinator for the Organization for Youth Empowerment in El Progreso, Honduras.  Amanda shares her story about her journey from a college campus to serving the disadvantaged youth of Honduras.

First Christmas - Week 4- Mary - We Are What We Are

It was a night that no one would forget.
The night the Jesus Christ was
born. Join us as we journey through this Advent season and hear the
first hand reflections of those who experienced that night, some two
thousand years ago. 
In this final week before CHRISTmas, on the Advent Sunday of Love, Mary (Brianna English) shares as she recounts her journey as the one God chose to be the earthly mother of Jesus.
This young woman, probably a teenage, has seen a lot, and has stored it all in her heart. We know that Mary never set out
to be the mother of the Messiah, but when God asked, she said yes. She’s reflecting on the
night her son was born.
