It seems like everything we value is being shaken. The world in which we live seems to be moving away from much that we value. As followers of Jesus we need to have confidence and develop tools to deal with whatever comes our way.
Unshakable is a series based on the life of Daniel. As we journey through the life of this Old Testament character we will uncover ways to navigate life rough waters.
Daniel's story is one to encourage us to lean into healthy responses as we stand firm for the hope and truth of the Gospel.
In this first segment we will look three important principles to help develop a world view for when life gets all shook up.

Home - it has a deep meaning for all...comfort-security-peace...for the Christian home is best understood as when we are in the presence of Jesus.
In this final segment we'll unpack the most basic and simple truth of living the Christian life: Home is where the presence of Jesus is, and the presence of Jesus is where we all need to be.
Looking at two different people we meet in Mark 5:35-43...Jarius and the bleeding woman made their home in the presence of Jesus. Trusting that he would meet all their needs.
In a practical opportunity we hear from a friend Paul Fisher about how we can grow in our faith through a new spiritual formation experience called the Face to Face Encounter.

Today consideration is given to the conversation in Mark 2:23-3:6 where Jesus creates some controversy as he has two different actions on the sabbath that puts him at further odds with the religious leaders of the day.
Pastor Randy unpacks the better plan that Jesus provided for people as they seek to have a deeper relationship with God.
We welcome Pastor Randy Barlow. Pastor Randy serves as a full-time chaplain for Hospice of North Central Ohio. He also serves as a Staff Chaplain in the 179th Air Lift Wing out of Mansfield Lahm Airport. Randy is a graduate of Ohio Christian University, where he met his lovely wife Jennifer. He also holds two graduate degrees from Ashland Theologocial Seminary. On most Sundays that aren't spent serving in uniform he can be found preaching the Gospel in Christian churches throughout Ashland and Richland counties. He and Jennifer are the parents of two boys, Elijah and Gaberiel.

As a church we want our culture to one that welcomes the stranger and those who are broken and disconnected and far from God.
When we start from a mindset that Grace comes first, it can be a game changer...for us as followers and for those we are wanting to share the hope of Jesus.
Each of us need to know, deeply from God and from each other that we matter. Our sense of identity and approval as sons and daughters of God is foundational to walking the Christian life.
In Matthew 5 we learn of what we call the Beatitudes...8 words and phrases that are preceded with the words "blessed". As we unpack these concepts, each are words that can offer life. Jesus offered these simple concepts as path markers for how we find the life He offers as we walk the journey of redemption.

When we start from a mindset that Grace comes first, it can be a game changer...for us as followers and for those we are wanting to share the hope of Jesus.
Each of us need to know, deeply from God and from each other that we matter. Our sense of identity and approval as sons and daughters of God is foundational to walking the Christian life.
This week, we will see just how Jesus’ identity as a loved son shaped how He saw those around him, and propelled Him into a ministry that changes the world still.
